Issue Position

1. Support Expansion of Medicaid - Medicaid expansion will cover 400,000 Virginians including thousands of Virginia seniors in nursing homes and is estimated to create 33,000 jobs here in the Commonwealth. This policy that is both morally right and good for Virginia's economy.

2. Increase support for home health care - Virginia can save money and improve our seniors' quality of life by making it easier and more affordable for Virginians to get home health care from a qualified provider.

3. Keep property taxes low by opposing unfunded mandates - Property taxes hit seniors on fixed incomes particularly hard. Michael believes that the Commonwealth must manage its budget without resorting to unfunded mandates on our local governments.
